Robert Knights MBE MSc CPP AdCertED&CP FSyI FSA
Heather Alston AdCertED&CP MSyI
The two Directors have in nearly sixty years experience as Police Officers. More importantly approximately half of that has been refining the art of crime prevention and designing out crime in the built environment.
Recognised at both national and international level, the Directors are acknowledged as experts in the many aspects of risk management, personal safety, environmental design counter terrorism and data analysis that are required to formulate balanced, rationale and practical solutions to given problems.
Both have either served, or are still serving on diverse groups and committees with influence within the generic field of security. These positions include Chair and Secretary of the Association of Chief Police Officers Crime Prevention Technical Committee, the National Arson in Schools Working Group, the Designing Out Crime Association (UK) Essex Security and Fire Protection Association,
To be acknowledged as experts in specific fields within the broad arena of security is probably best judged by peers in that specialism. In this instance the Directors have accomplished skills in the fields of crime auditing, risk management, contingency planning, environmental criminology and design, counter terrorism, personal safety, strategy and policy preparation and training that are recognised by their fellow professionals.
In addition to the
specific security skills, the Directors hold Trade Development Lead Body
(TDLB) certification in units D32, 33, 34 and 36, Security Industry Training
Organisation (SITO) certification in Assessment and Training, and Certification
in Crime Auditing and Analysis and City & Guilds 7302 Certificate
in Delivering Learning
